Crepes & Cranes

Crepes, Conservation, and Captivating Photography!

Start your morning right with a delicious crepe breakfast (because let’s be honest, crepes are just fancy pancakes) and an inspiring presentation celebrating Nebraska’s incredible wildlife.

Why You Won’t Want to Miss This

Dive Into Whooperland: Explore the beauty and wonder of the whooping cranes and sandhill cranes that visit our region each year and discover the stories behind their migration and conservation.

Celebrate Local Wildlife: Explore the exciting wildlife gallery at the Funk School Community Center and learn about ongoing efforts to showcase and protect Nebraska’s natural heritage.

Be Inspired: Each year, Crepes & Cranes features a special guest—photographers, naturalists, conservationists, and others—who share their passion for the Great Plains and the wildlife that call it home.

Past speakers have included award-winning photographer Michael Forsberg, whose breathtaking work has appeared in National Geographic, Audubon, and more.

We’re already cooking up plans for the 2026 event, coming your way in late March or early April. Keep an eye out for more details soon!

Trivia Night fundraiser

After you sleep off your pancake feast, join us for the annual Funk Trivia Night! Lost Way Brewery beer will be served on-site but you can bring your own food.

More details coming in early 2026!
