Information for potential bakers

Interested in registering as a baker for the next Festival of Cupcakes? Whether your goal is to make the most delicious tasting, best decorated, or all-around funkiest cupcakes, read the details below, fill out the application, and then get your creative juices flowing!

Before (or while) completing your registration form, consider the following:

1. A $25 refundable registration fee should be included with your registration form. This reserves one 8 ft table for you to use at the event. No-shows will not be refunded. Payment can be made to our Venmo account.

2. Determine which category/categories you plan to enter.(You may enter more than one.)
   ° Best Tasting
   ° Best Decorated
   ° Funkiest (most unusual)
   **A plate of two cupcakes must be submitted for each category entered. Only one flavor of cupcake per entrant in the Best Tasting category.

3. Each baker or team will be in contention for:
   (1) Best Table Display and
   (2) Peoples’ Choice.
   Peoples’ Choice will be determined by the baker or team who receives the most tickets in the pink boxes up front from attendees during the event.

4. Over $1400 in prizes will be given out as shown below:
   ° Best Tasting: $50 first prize, $25 second prize, & $15 third prize at each level – Professional, Amateur, and Talented Kid (9 prizes total)
   ° Best Decorated: $50 first prize, $25 second prize & $15 third prize at each level – Professional, Amateur, and Talented Kid (9 prizes total)
   ° Funkiest: $50 first prize, $25 second prize, $ $15 third prize at each level –Professional, Amateur, and Talented Kid (9 prizes total)
   ° Best Table Display: $50 first prize, $25 second prize and $15 third prize at each level –Professional, Amateur, and Talented Kid (9 prizes total)
   ° Peoples’ Choice: One $50 prize awarded
   ° Grand Champion: One $250 prize awarded

5. The cupcake winners will be judged using a point system. There are 20 possible points using four different criteria for Best Tasting, Best Decorated , Funkiest/ Unusual and Best Table Display categories.

6. The Grand Champion will be selected from a baker or team that has entered all three categories and has the most points in all three categories, plus is the winner of the best Table Display.
